Associated Narcotics, Gaming and Larceny Organization - A.N.G.L.O. As the powerful last vestige of organized crime in the city of Chicago, A.N.G.L.O. engages in absurdly out-of-place criminal activity - train robberies, prohibition, debutante kidnappings, etc. So cloaked in mythology is A.N.G.L.O. that the police themselves regard the idea of such an organization as urban myth - a devastating oversight as, in actuality, A.N.G.L.O. is at the root of all criminal activity in the city. Seen as a conspiracy theorist, Comanche alone recognizes the full weight of the syndicate, and is dead set on taking them down.
Unfortunately, little is known about the origins of A.N.G.L.O. Unofficially, authorities know that a couple of years ago crime was rampant and unpredictable; recently, after a rash of murders, "organized" crime was born... Ex-cons and suspects have been heard referring to "The Golden Age" attributing it with fond memories and hearty laughs; quite possibly this might refer to pre-A.N.G.L.O. crime activity.
It is rumored that one Gerald Wertheimer, a clothing mogul with business interests in Chicago's criminal underworld in fact serves as the primary benefactor for A.N.G.L.O. until the organization is able to gain financial independence.
